The Origin of Pillow Wrapping Machine

Pillow wrapping machine is a type of automated packaging equipment, which is related to the invention of the industrial revolution and the bakery industry.

In the late 19th century, with the development of industrial technology and the gradual popularization of machinery manufacturing, a number of machinery manufacturers emerged, starting to produce and sell food processing equipment. In the early 20th century, American bread producers began to use a new type of packaging called "Pillow Pack". Compared with general packaging machines, the pillow wrapping machine uses a human-machine interface where the bag length can be set according to different requirements. The bag length can be detected by the pneumatic system to see if the packaging film is accurate, then the calculated result is displayed on the human-machine interface, thereby determining the suitable sealing and cutting length of the packaging film. This operating principle makes the operation of the pillow wrapping machine more stable, with higher packaging speed and more accurate positioning, and the frequency conversion adjustment method makes it more convenient to use. 

During packaging production, due to errors in the positioning of the color marks printed on the packaging material, the stretching of the packaging material, and the influence of mechanical transmission, the predetermined sealing and cutting position of the packaging material may deviate from the correct position, resulting in errors. To eliminate these errors and achieve correct sealing and cutting, packaging design must consider the issue of automatic positioning. Solving this problem is mostly done by completing a continuous photoelectric automatic positioning system design based on the positioning marks of the packaging material. The continuous photoelectric positioning system works in error compensation modes such as advance and retreat type, braking type, and dual-driving system synchronous type.
